HELP ME FIND THIS GUY A HOME!

Hello all,

As some of you know i am volunteering at the Orange County Animal Services. I get to socialize and play with many of the dogs and cats there :)

There is a beautiful dog that has been there for awhile. The Orange County Animal Services is a kill shelter, so the guy doesnt have much time left! I would like to get him adopted ASAP.

I think there is a reason he isnt getting adopted. He's DEAF! Now he responds really well to hand gestures, he can even sit with hand commands :) but he will need owners with a yard because he likes to watch everything naturally. He loses focus easily when he sees something, but he is VERY trainable and VERY sweet.

The Orange County Animal Services will do all of these if you adopt an animal from them!!!:
- Spay/neuter
- Initial vaccinations
- Microchip for Identification
- First deworming
- Heartworm check
- Feline leukemia test
- Rabies vaccination and tag

He just NEEDS a chance! So I thought i would get the word out.

If anyone is interested please go to the Orange County Animal Services after the Mall At Millenia and make sure to go to the right one, NOT the SPCA (they are different)

Here is the website http://www.orangecountyfl.net/cms/DEPT/CEsrvcs/animal/default.htm

and here is the phone number in case: Main Number: (407) 254-9140

thank you all so much. Please spread the word and find this guy a home!

The Silk Spectre Costume

okay, so i decided after watching the movie watchman, i had to be silk spectre and my man had to be dr manhattan (for obvious reasons. i didnt like the online costume for silk spectre so i thought it would be best to have it made. i begged my wonderful and talented mother to help me and by helping me she would be creating the whole thing for me from scratch! she is the best, i love her so much.

here are some pics of how we started the whole process and it was not an easy costume at all!!! the fabrics, the colors, no patterns, gloves, boot covers, corset, getting the right heels and even hair extensions (by the best Jesse Yeager), WHEW! it was a lot.

my mom slaved away for days to put this thing together for me and it turned out awesome!!! thank you mom, you truly are the best mother ever. i know she loves me so :)

Crealde School of Art - Talet Bob Hague

I had a wonderful experience of posing in my ballet costumes for a lovely art class at Crealde in Winter Park. Everyone was extremely talented and very welcoming. the class was on a sunday afternoon and it consisted of about 8 - 2 min drawings/paintings, 6 - 5 min drawings/paintings, and 4 - 20 min drawings/paintings. I had to come up with different poses for each one! And while that sounds fairly easy, it really isnt. But i really enjoyed the challenge :)

Here is one of the paintings a wonderful artist did of me in only 20 min! His name is Bob Hague and his work can be found at http://www.watercoloradventure.blogspot.com/

thank you Bob!

I'm addicted to Tahini...

ok, seriously. i have been downing tahini like no ones business. its just sooo yummy! its the best substitute for sauce. i use it in my tuna fish instead of mayo and i use it as salad dressing in all my salads and i use it in my sanwhiches!!! YUMMMY!!!

Tahini paste is made from crushed sesame seeds. Think peanut butter, only made with sesame seeds.

Benefits of tahini

Tahini is a source of calcium, protein and B vitamins. Tahini is a good source of essential fatty acids (EFA), these EFA's are used in helping to maintain healthy skin.

Because one of the ingredients in tahini is sesame oil it has quite a high calorie content. Because of this tahini should be used in moderation. The good news is the majority of fats in tahini are unsaturated rather than saturated.

Tahini is a source of vitamin E which helps to reduce the rate of ageing in body cells.

Sesame seeds are also a good source of the amino acid Methionine. Methionine is an important contributor to liver detoxification and helps with the absorption of other amino acids.

Great for people on raw food diet :)

ENJOY!

Dance studio, sonography, pet rescue, oh my!

sooo, today i am pondering what i want to focus my time and life goals on.....

1. my dream would be to start my very own dance studio.

Pro: its my dream and my passion!
con: need $ to start it all up

2. sonography is a good technical career to have. health industry will always be around and its part of helping people

pro: stable job, decent money and helping others
con: only money and not my dream dream job

2. start a pet rescue. you all know i love animals more than people and i want to save them all!

pro: it wouldnt be a job, it would be more than a delight and so satisfying
con: how do i start it all and i am sure it takes a lot of dedication, time, money and i have to see some animals in a poor state - not sure i can handle that

so what do you think?
